Steps That Can Be Taken When Cannabis Is Threatened

When pests threaten an outdoor cannabis crop and there are some things that can be done to save the plants from damage. First there are some seeds that have been bred to repel pests, this is something a person growing the seeds will need to think about when they decide what type of cannabis seeds they are going to grow.

Another thing that can be done is use a fertilizer or plant dust that will repel the threat of bugs; this should be a type of chemical compound that is not toxic. These can easily be found in nurseries or home improvement stores that have a garden section. There is also several types of organic repellants that can be found that are not toxic and are used for organic foods that are grown.

The type of repellant that is used should be one for the right growth of the plant, seedlings will not be able to withstand the same strength of chemicals that a cannabis plant that is nearing maturity.

Reading material about gardening and garden pests can give the person growing a cannabis crop the information they might need to battle different types of bugs, since this is a crop that is threatened the same as a vegetable garden would be. It is important to remember that chemicals can be dangerous in foods or in cannabis plants and this is why organic types of repellant can be safer to use. The repellant should be stopped at least 7 to 14 days before harvesting the cannabis plants.
