Growing With High Sodium Lighting
High sodium lighting is used during the more mature growing of the weed crop, using this type of lighting is a choice many people growing indoors make. These lights have a warm spectrum and are used approximately 18 to 24 hours a day during the vegetative state of the weed plants.
The spectrum that is given off by these bulbs are red, orange and yellow, making this a type of light that is close to the natural rays given off by the sun.
The amount of time the high sodium lights are on they give the weed crop the type of lighting they need to mature during the vegetative state, whether the crop is in soil or being grown with hydroponics. The plants require this type of light spectrum for the extended amount of hours that will help it to mature, because when properly taken care of the plants will provide between a half ounce and one ounce per weed plant.
The high sodium lights can be found in different wattages from 50 watts all the way up to 1,000 watts and depending on the amount of plants each bulb will need to provide light to will also be the deciding factor in the light bulb wattage. The distance from the plant also will need to be considered when choosing the size bulb that will be used during the vegetative state.
