Using Fertilizer Or Plant Food

When growing pot it is important to use fertilizer or plant food sparingly when the plants are seedlings. The seedlings are delicate and can become damage or die if the nutrition they are given is too strong.

Feeding the pot plants when they are seedlings should be done differently than when they are growing and during the vegetate state. The mixture for seedlings should be half the amount, if the plant food directions say to use a tablespoon per gallon, for seedlings the mixture would be one half tablespoon per gallon. This is important because the plants can otherwise be damaged beyond repair.

As the plants grow then they will need the full strength of the plant food, this will be an important factor in their ability to grow into mature plants and have a potent and full harvest.

The plant food that is chosen should be one that is a quality plant food, one that has all the nutrients that are needed by the pot plant. Using a cheap plant food is not a good idea, the idea when growing a pot crop is to get the most from the crop when it is time to harvest. Harvesting is the what the person growing the crop waits for and having the plants receive all the nutrients they need will make the crop fuller and contain more THC, since they do not need to work hard to survive and grow.
