Making Room And Setting Up Hydroponics
When deciding to grow a weed crop with hydroponics a place must be setup for the hydroponics equipment. This area will need to be a place that will not need to be used for anything else, since this is not something that can be moved or disturbed. This will be a setup that is permanent as long as there are weed plants being grown.
After a location in the house is chosen and this can be a basement area, it will need to be cleaned and prepped before anything else is done. This includes painting the walls if possible, if not then there are other things that can be used, such as visquen or Mylar. Even a cheaper fix for the walls for a person on a budget or that cannot find one of the other materials is aluminum foil.
The idea of doing this treatment to the walls is to put paint or another material on them that will be reflective. This will help the lighting provide more of what the plants need to help them grow and help to reach reflective light to the parts of the weed plant that might be blocked by upper leaves.
Any carpeting if possible should be taken out of the room that will have the hydroponics garden setup in it for a few reasons, first because there will be water constantly being used in this room, this water can wet the carpet and make it begin to rot the carpet. It can also be dangerous, with the electricity that will be in use for lighting, the aquarium pump and the ventilation, because water and electricity do not mix.
